Green Wave JV and Frosh Report

Don’t look now but both the Freshman and JV Foot- ball Programs are doing well and preparing for the future at the varsity level. Both units are 3-2 on the season. Recently, the freshman team, lead by head coach Jimmie Smith defeated Padua 25-18 with key plays from guys like Shane Welsh, Shakif Seymour, Shawn Austin and C.J. Balodis to name a few.

At the JV level, coached by Jamison Hultine, Garrett Mack, and Brit Musal, Holy Name defeated Padua 21-14 in a thrilling final second touchdown. Long third down passes from JV quarterback, Mike Wal- lace to juniors, Joe Adams and Alex Tober kept the team alive as running back, Dean Cassell helped punch in the winning touchdown. Linemen, Ben Pikus, Darren Demetro, and Tyler Perry helped up front with receiver/defensive backs Dean Supelak, Mark Keppler, and James Grazziolli contributed heavily as well.

Great job young men. Keep preparing every week. You are the future of Holy Name Green Wave Foot- ball!!!
