The class of 2016 has arrived at Holy Name High School. St. Columbkille, Academy of St. Bartholomew, and St. Bridget are the grade schools that have the most incoming freshmen at Holy Name. This year there are 161 freshman students.
Freshman Theresa Lincheck said, “I love it here. This is a great school.”
Freshman orientation took place on August 21st. Following their first day of school, the freshman class attended a picnic in the courtyard at 1:00 p.m. The picnic was moved to the cafeteria when it began to rain.
At this picnic, the freshmen had the chance to win prizes such as Cleveland Indians tickets, Holy Name t-shirts, and a $50 iTunes gift card.
Freshman Lucas Lucas said, “My first impression of Holy Name was, ‘Wow. The faculty and students are all really friendly.’ ”
