The girls soccer team at Bay, ranked No. 2 in Division II and seeded second, was hoping to get a rematch with top-seeded Rocky River in a district championship game.

However, it’ll be Holy Name (14-2-2) that will play the fourth-ranked Pirates on Thursday after blanking the Rockets, 3-0, in Monday’s district semifinal.

Caroline Dreher’s two goals and a goal by Peyton Davis led the charge. Sarah Krause had two assists. Holy Name goalie Jax Yanak recorded the shutout with eight saves.

Bay bows out at 15-2-1.

The Namers will take on the #1 seeded Pirates of Rocky River in the on 10/25, 7pm, at Rocky River in the Sectional/District Finals.
