One of those senior leaders is pitcher Mary Beth Blake who is one of the top hitters in The Cleveland area.
Other outstanding players have been seniors Caitlin Welsh, Brittany Dell, and Brianna Jesionek. Senior Samantha Rini is the other pitcher on the team and has come through with some victories. Jamie Supelak comes off the bench to play solidly.
Sophomore Abbey Yaugher tied the state record of four home runs in one game. Also, as a team the girls tied the state record of seven home runs in a single game. Another outstanding sophomore is third baseman Meghan Brickner.
The girls received the third seed in the sectional tournament and beat Buckeye 10-2. The Lady Namers season came to end when they came up short against Clearview on May 22. Great season girls!
