GREENEVILLE, Tenn. — Behind a stout defense, Holy Name’s girls basketball team will play for fifth place in the Landair Ladies Classic after defeating Franklin County (Tenn.) Monday, 56-38.
The Green Wave, ranked No. 17 in the cleveland.com Top 25 girls basketball poll, held Franklin County to just 14 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Holy Name, led by 17 points from Kim Cook, shot 50 percent from the field.
Rachel Kucharczyk added 13 points for the Green Wave. Holy Name will play South Greene on Tuesday in the fifth-place game.
