Senior F Joe Meehan scored five goals as the Green Wave of Holy Name defeated Padua Franciscan, 8-2, at Ries Rink in Parma Sunday afternoon.

The win by Holy Name created a four-way tie for first place in the Great Lakes Hockey League standings.

Holy Name, Saint Ignatius, Walsh Jesuit and University School all have 12 points and just one loss in league play as we head into the final week of the league’s inaugural season.

The Namers hold the inside track with three games remaining while the other three have just two.

Lake Catholic, with 10 points and two games remaining, also remains in the hunt.
