On Saturday, March 21, Holy Name High School’s Drama Club participated in the Cleveland Theatre Conference’s annual One Act Play Festival. Held at the Magnificat Center for the Performing Arts, the One Act Festival featured students from Cleveland Catholic high schools, with Holy Name performing “A Merry Regiment of Women” by Rae Shirley.

Our students did a wonderful job, with the following students receiving awards:

Sarah Durma ’16 (Desdemona) – Sarah received tickets to a performance at the Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood.

Lizzie Groth ’17 (Juliet) – Lizzie received a Best Stage Presence Award.

Nicole Rini ’15 (Cleopatra) – Nicole received a Best Stage Presence Award as well.

Anna Regan ’18 (Kate the Shrew) – Anna won a silver medal.

The entire cast of “A Merry Regiment of Women” is commended for delivering an outstanding performance, which earned praise from other directors, student performers and audience members. The entire cast and crew included:
