The Holy Name High School family is blessed with students who celebrate their faith by giving back to their communities. One of these students, Roberto Santiago ’18, coordinated the creation of handmade sawdust carpets at his parish, La Sagrada Familia Catholic Church in Cleveland. The carpets were out throughout Holy Week and depicted various holy images.

Roberto, who earned his Eagle Scout ranking by leading this project and has now made this beautiful display a reality two years in a row at his parish, was interviewed by WOIO Channel 19 this week. You can watch the video here: http://bit.ly/1NJtOH5.

Channel 19 also took several wonderful photos of the beautiful sawdust carpets. The entire gallery can be viewed here: http://bit.ly/1NQeTwF.

Additionally, Cleveland.com included images of the carpets on their site, and they can be found here: http://bit.ly/1xOjfAJ.

We congratulate Roberto and are proud of his commitment to his faith and community!
