The Holy Name High School Community is saddened to hear of the loss of Mr. Ralph Wroblewski, a former Holy Name History Teacher. Mr. Wroblewski taught at Holy Name from the 1980-1981 school year until the conclusion of the 2002-2003 school year. Before his time at Holy Name, Mr. Wroblewski taught elsewhere in the Diocese of Cleveland, including at St. Joseph High School (now Villa Angela-St. Joseph). He also served as the principal at Cleveland Central Catholic High School, and was a retired full colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was 79 years old.

Mr. Wroblewski is survived by his wife, Christine, who he was married to for 52 years, as well as his four children, who were all HN graduates: Ralph ’82 (fiancée Kelly), Mark ’88, Jean ’92 (fiancé Tim Keehn) and Eric ’94 (Janet). He was also the loving grandfather of Ian, Corinne, Benjamin, Genevieve and Marissa, and the brother of Mary Ann McClain and Henry “Hank” (Maryanne), who is a former Holy Name Science Teacher.

Mr. Wroblewski’s wake will be at Ripepi Funeral Home, 5762 Pearl Road (near the intersection of Pearl and Snow) on Thursday, April 30 from 2-4 p.m. and then from 6-8 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Bosco Church on Friday, May 1, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
