During the past week, the Holy Name Community came together to enjoy Christmas with one another!

First was the annual Breakfast with Santa, which included past, present and future Namers and their families! Many of Holy Name’s current students and parents volunteered to cook delicious pancakes and sausage, as well as serve breakfast to guests. Future Namers enjoyed making Christmas crafts, decorating cookies and watching a special play put on by HN’s Drama Club. Most importantly, they loved being able to visit with Santa!

The next big event was Holy Name’s annual Christmas Concert. For the second straight year, Holy Name Elementary School came to HNHS for the concert. But this year, HNHS students enjoyed a special treat: The HNES drumline also performed, impressing the high school students with their amazing skills!

Following the concert, HNES students in grade K-5 worked with high school helpers to create unique Christmas ornaments. The sixth through eighth graders met in small groups with senior HNHS students to discuss the Advent season and how Christ is our light, always. Everyone also enjoyed a pizza lunch.

Before the end of the day, Santa again visited Holy Name! With the help of the HNHS student elves, he distributed presents to each of the more than 200 K-8 HNES students. All of the gifts were generously donated by Holy Name students and supporters who wanted to spread Christmas cheer to the children at Holy Name Elementary.

Thank you to everyone who helped make both Breakfast with Santa and the Holy Name Elementary Christmas Visit a success! May God bless all Holy Name students, parents, alumni and friends with a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
