Holy Name is proud of sophomore Carlton Wright and junior Sarah Sparks, as both students have been selected as apprentices in the ArtWorks program, which is held at Cuyahoga Community College’s Metro Campus.
As paid apprentices, Carlton and Sarah learn from master teaching artists, who help them enhance their skills, while also allowing them to express their creativity. At the end of the program, which is two days a week for 12 weeks after school, students take away knowledge and experiences that will prepare them for classroom work, as well as their future professions.
No prior art experience is needed to apply for ArtWorks. For more information, or to apply for the program, visit http://arts-inspiredlearning.org/artworks/afterschool/.
