The following is the original email sent on Tuesday, July 14 to all families.

Hello Holy Name High School Families,

Thank you to all of you for your participation in the parent survey sent out at the beginning of June. Based on your feedback, along with guidance provided by government, health, and diocesan officials, we are now ready to share our reopening plan details with you. To read the full letter, see attached.
A few of the key details are as follows:

Holy Name plans to welcome back all students for traditional, face-to-face instruction five days per week starting in August. Orientation days have been scheduled for August 21, 24, 25 and 26 (please see letter for complete details), with all students in the building beginning Thursday, August 27. For the foreseeable future, classes will meet from 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. each day.

Some families may prefer not to have their student/students return to campus for traditional, face-to-face instruction at this time. For those who would prefer to participate in E-Learning from home, both synchronous and asynchronous learning will occur and the curriculum will mirror that of in-person instruction as closely as possible. Students will need to log into their classes throughout the school day following the 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. schedule. Please know that if a student is involved with the E-Learning option, she/he will be unable to participate in extra-curricular activities held in person after school (ex. athletics), and there will be no tuition discount.

Please review the letter for more information about Holy Name’s reopening plan: Holy Name Back to School Plan. After doing so, please complete the Holy Name H.S. 2020-2021 Return to School Survey at https://forms.gle/o7Y1pqnqgGVuvNPe6. This will provide you with the opportunity to indicate your learning preference for the upcoming school year. All families (only one response per family, please) are asked to complete the survey by 5 p.m. Sunday, July 19. Your response will provide Holy Name with the necessary information to assist with staffing assignments, scheduling of classes, purchasing of supplies, etc.

Thank you for your cooperation as we begin the process of returning to the classroom. Our number one priority is the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff. We are counting on our entire school community to fully follow all health and safety protocols, and thank you in advance for your support.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns. We look forward to sharing additional information with you as it becomes available. Stay safe and God Bless.

Be well,

Mrs. Shelbrey Blanc
Mrs. Karen Carter
Mr. Michael Sullivan
