Director of Advancement
The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland and Holy Name High School are pleased to accept applications for the role of Director of Advancement.
As an integral member of the Holy Name High School leadership team, the Director of Advancement is responsible for leading the advancement team and for the development and strategic implementation of all aspects of fundraising and stewardship activities, including, but not limited to, comprehensive campaigns, annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, and alumni engagement. Reporting to the President, the Director of Advancement is a key member of the executive leadership team and advances the mission, values, and strategic goals of the School through collaborative efforts with the President, the Holy Name High School Advisory Board, and its Advancement Committee.
The Director of Advancement will be expected to bring visionary leadership, data-driven strategic planning, and proven capacity to engage alumni, parents and families, parents and families of alumni, and friends in support of advancing the mission of Holy Name High School.
The successful candidate is expected to possess many of the following qualities and qualifications:
• Faith-filled and Christ-centered servant leader who embraces, models, and champions the values of a Catholic education.
• Minimum of five years of executive-level experience in Advancement/ Development with staff management, annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, comprehensive campaign, event planning, and marketing or public relations experience preferred. An advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
• Ability to be an extension of the Office of the President and to represent the President's aims and objectives at all meetings and activities.
• Executive presence to inspire confidence, passion, and persistence among all stakeholders in an ambitious, fast-paced, and results-oriented period of organizational change.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills while serving as a highly visible leadership team member in building constructive relationships with all stakeholders that inspire crucial support across all school advancement initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience with goal setting at the school, department, and individual level; establishing, measuring, monitoring, and reporting systems for the department and individuals; budget and fiscal management.
• Ability to design, implement, and manage effective cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies at the individual, family, corporate, and foundation levels.
• In conjunction with the President, maintains a portfolio of major donor prospects for cultivation, stewardship, retention, and increased donor giving.
• Positive, energetic, accessible, and approachable, with a willingness to relate to all constituents and stakeholders.
• Ability to relate comfortably with students while being visible and interactive on campus and at school events.
• Develops and maintains an annual advancement plan. Supervises the production of regular reporting of results against targets with detailed analysis of variances to the Advancement Committee of the Advisory Board.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with expert knowledge of best practices in managing a robust advancement department operations, processes, and functions.
• Experience in being a part of strategic planning for an organization and implementing advancement initiatives in conjunction with established strategic plans.
• Skilled at identifying, attracting, developing, and retaining high-quality mission-driven advancement professionals and volunteers with a commitment and passion for achieving organizational goals.
• Competent computer skills with proven knowledge of Raisers Edge, Blackbaud, and related philanthropic software platforms.
• Fair, fun, and compassionate individual who embraces collaboration while leading with zeal.

Holy Name High School is seeking a full time Integrated Science teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Instruct students in Science for different grade levels and at various achievement levels.
• Instill student enthusiasm for reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
• Maintain up-to-date lesson plans; develop rubrics for projects and other class activities; and implement the provided curriculum with fidelity.
• Prepare engaging lessons and units that promote skills, knowledge, and critical thinking consistent with course outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with staff for the good of students and the school.
• Create an atmosphere in which students feel safe and welcomed.
• Communicate regular feedback about student progress; maintain open and timely communication with parents.
• Stay current with classroom technology applications and regularly incorporate them into lesson plans.
• Actively supervise students at all times.
• Teaching license or approved non-tax license (Integrated Science Teaching license is preferred)
• Able to pass FBI/BCI background check
• Strong background in teaching pedagogy
• Experience teaching high school students

Substitute Teacher
Holy Name High School seeks Substitute Teachers for the 2024-25 school year.
Essential Job Functions:
• Follows lesson plans
• Maintains a neat and orderly classroom
• Ensures that students are supervised and not left unattended in the classroom
• Maintains accurate attendance records
• Keeps students safe and engaged
• Monitors student progress and assists where needed by keeping proximity
• Maintains existing classroom management and discipline procedures
• Understands building and classroom policy and procedures
• Provides written feedback for the classroom teacher
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree - any field
• Clean criminal background
• Three (3) positive professional references
• Experience working with school aged students preferred
• Ohio Department of Education Substitute Teacher License, or higher license.
• FBI & BCI Background checks (cost covered by applicant)
