The Catholic Diocese of Cleveland and Holy Name High School are pleased to accept applications for the position of Principal. Holy Name High School is a Diocesan–owned, comprehensive, co–educational, Catholic high school committed to academic excellence and the development of student gifts. Enrollment is 550 students in grades 9 through 12.
Founded in 1914, Holy Name High School is a college preparatory coeducational high school. Holy Name High School promotes excellence in education through a challenging curriculum, personal responsibility, and participation in extra-curricular activities preparing our students with confidence and knowledge-base to succeed.
A practicing Catholic who upholds the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church.
Master’s degree in administration and valid Secondary School certificate or equivalent.
Five (5) years teaching experience, preferably in a Catholic high school.
Three (3) years administrative experience, preferably in a Catholic high school.
Catholic formation of high school students.
Knowledge, experience working with government programs related to education.
Knowledge, experience preparing annual State, Diocesan, North Central Association, and OCSAA reports.
Experience in fiscal and personnel management as it relates to the instructional program.
Experience in the using multiple sources of data as diagnostic tools to assess, identify and apply instructional improvement.
Desires to work in an environment that is flexible, collaborative, innovative and supportive of efforts to improve achievement of all students.
Experience in utilizing and integrating technology in a school setting.
Direct and guide the academic integrity of the school
Serves as the instructional leader responsible for all aspects of the academic program.
Coordinates and supervises curriculum development and instructional planning.
Observes and evaluates educational personnel; Monitors all pupil personnel systems.
Enhance the culture and mission of the school
Supports mission effectiveness and faith leadership in keeping with the Roman Catholic Church tradition.
Leads with the dean of students, a process by which student behavior contributes to a positive school culture.
Leads with the director of guidance, use of Appreciative Inquiry as a personal planning model for each student.
Serve as a steward of the success and longevity of the school
Assists with the implementation of the strategic plan.
Assumes additional responsibilities as requested by the Office of Catechetical Formation and Education.
Contributes to the enrollment management through admissions and retention programs.
Build relationships internally and externally
Collaborates with faculty and staff on day to day operations and overall effectiveness of the school.
Interacts with all constituents of Holy Name as needed, proactively where possible.
