On the morning of Saturday, October 17, all Holy Name Class of 2022 students and those Class of 2023 students in the Top 10% of their grade will have the opportunity to take the Preliminary SAT/ National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) on campus.
No student is required to take the PSAT. We are offering the opportunity so all juniors have the chance to enter the National Merit Scholarship Program, as well as practice for the SAT.
Families do not need to pay to participate; Holy Name will be covering the cost for all PSAT test takers.

If a student has a question about his or her class schedule, or needs to make a schedule change, the guidance counselors will be available to help! However, this year, students must schedule an appointment via Sign-Up Genius (links given below); they are not to come to campus for the initial appointment. The guidance counselor will call the student at the assigned time.
Some schedule changes will require a fee ($50 for standard classes, $100 for AP/CCP classes). For these changes, an in-person follow-up meeting will need to be scheduled to finalize the schedule change. The Schedule Change Form – found here: Schedule Change Form – will also need to be filled out and signed by the appropriate parties.
During August and September 2020, Holy Name’s guidance counselors will be Mrs. Beth Ritt and Mr. Doug Hayes ’08. For now, Mrs. Ritt will work with students whose last names begin with A – L, while Mr. Hayes will work with students whose last names begin with M – Z.
Links to sign-up for a date/time slot with Mrs. Ritt or Mr. Hayes are below! Various dates and times are available Tuesday, August 25 – Friday August 28, and then again on Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, September 1.
