ABOUT HOLY NAME HIGH SCHOOL

Holy Name High School is a place where education transforms both heart and mind. It’s where students grow in wisdom and faith, where classmates become family, and where every Namer is known, valued, and inspired to live with purpose.

Founded in 1914, Holy Name has been a cornerstone of Catholic education in Northeast Ohio for more than a century. Located in Parma Heights, the school welcomes a diverse community of students from across the region who share a commitment to learning, leadership, and service.

At Holy Name, faith and reason work together to shape the whole person. Our students are challenged to think critically, act compassionately, and live with integrity. The campus is alive with opportunity—from rigorous academics and championship athletics to vibrant arts, ministry, and service programs.

For generations, Holy Name has formed young men and women who lead with courage, serve with heart, and carry their faith into the world.

Our Legacy

Founded in 1914, Holy Name High School has stood for generations as a leader in Catholic education in Northeast Ohio. From our beginnings in Cleveland to our home in Parma Heights, our mission has remained the same: to form students who live with conviction and serve with compassion.

Thousands of “Namers” have carried this mission into the world — as educators, business leaders, artists, scientists, and public servants — each embodying the Green Wave spirit of integrity and faith.

RIDE THE WAVE

At Holy Name, you don’t just attend a school—you join a movement.
Rooted in faith and built on community, the Green Wave is where students rise, lead, and lift others with them.
