RetreatS

Retreats at Holy Name offer students a unique opportunity to step away from the busyness of daily life and deepen their relationship with God. Through prayer, reflection, community, and meaningful experiences, retreats invite students to encounter Christ in new and lasting ways.

Whether on campus, off campus, or immersed in nature, each retreat is designed to help students grow in faith, discover their purpose, and build authentic friendships rooted in Christ.

WHY RETREATS MATTER

Retreats provide sacred space for students to slow down, reflect, and listen for God’s voice. Many students describe these experiences as life-changing moments of clarity, healing, and renewed purpose.

By stepping away from daily routines, students return to school strengthened in faith, more connected to their peers, and more confident in who God is calling them to become.

  • Freshman Retreat — ConnectioHN

Held on campus, the Freshman Retreat focuses on building connection and community among new students. Through interactive activities, team-building, and shared experiences, freshmen begin forming bonds with classmates and discover what it means to be part of the Holy Name faith family.

This retreat serves as an energetic introduction to spiritual life at Holy Name and encourages students to live, speak, and honor the Holy Name of Jesus in their daily lives.

    Sophomore Retreat — MissioHN

The Sophomore Retreat centers on discipleship and service, inviting students to bring Christ’s love into the community. Held off campus, this retreat challenges sophomores to live out the Gospel through hands-on service and reflection.

Students are encouraged to grow as compassionate leaders who face the needs of the world with courage, empathy, and faith.

  • Kairos (Junior & Senior Girls Retreat)

Sometimes the best thing we can do is step away — to breathe, reflect, and give God space to speak. Kairos means “God’s time”: time set apart to grow in faith, deepen friendships, and discover more about who you are and who God is calling you to be.

Kairos is a three-day retreat for junior and senior girls that invites students to step away from the busyness of school and life to spend meaningful time with God and one another. Through prayer, reflection, and community, students are encouraged to consider their future, their relationships, and the person they are becoming.

Men of the Holy Name (Boys)

For juniors and seniors ready to go deeper in their faith, Holy Name offers two cornerstone retreat experiences held at the peaceful St. Leonard Youth Retreat Center.

Through personal reflection, shared witness talks, prayer, and the sacraments, students are invited to encounter God’s love in a profound and lasting way. These three-day retreats foster strong community and help students explore what it means to live as disciples of Jesus in today’s world.

  • In addition to the core retreat experiences, Holy Name offers a variety of smaller retreats for juniors and seniors that focus on specific aspects of faith and spiritual growth. Each retreat meets students where they are — whether exploring their beliefs, deepening prayer, or discerning their calling.
