Playoffs. States. Regionals. Holy Name is Making History.

It is an extraordinary season for Holy Name High School athletics as multiple teams advance in postseason competition, marking one of the most successful stretches in recent school history.

  • Boys Cross Country is headed to the OHSAA State Championship for the first time since 1982.

  • Volleyball advances to the Regional Semifinal this Wednesday.

  • Football defeated Padua and moves on in the OHSAA Playoffs.

The momentum reflects not only competitive excellence, but the culture of discipline, resilience, and faith that defines Holy Name.

“Our students bring everything they have—on the field, in the classroom, and through their faith,” said Athletic Director Rich Kozub. “This weekend showed what it truly means to live the Holy Name mission: mind, body, and spirit.”

Holy Name’s student-athletes continue to demonstrate that success is built through preparation, perseverance, and teamwork. As the Green Wave advances in multiple postseason competitions, the entire school community—students, alumni, parents, and fans—rallies behind them in support.

For 112 years, Holy Name has formed leaders grounded in Faith, Excellence, Community, and Fortitude. This historic postseason run is a powerful reflection of those values in action.
